Saunders Diaphragm Valves
VALVES FOR WATER TREATMENT PLANTS
Up until 30 years ago, most water treatment plants built in the UK were fitted exclusively with Saunders Diaphragm Valves.
In the last 30 years, butterfly valves have been selected, as these are much less expensive.
We believe the Saunders Diaphragm Valve is still the best viable purchase, because of its long operating life, and ease of maintenance.
Saunders
‘GP’ Butterfly Valves were installed on many power station plants.
These were off centre disc, high performance, valves, which were made to BS
5155 long pattern. The valve was withdrawn from production about 15 years
ago, and since we have been supplying Tomoe 700 Series, wafer pattern, butterfly
valves. These are to BS5155 short pattern, and in order to simplify the installation,
we provide a stainless steel make-up piece to make up the difference in the
face to face dimensions.
Some plants were fitted with Model 700Z valves, which were a non-standard face to face. These are no longer available.
We are also able to supply class 300 stainless steel high performance valves, for condensate polishing plants. On many of the plants there are fitted Keystone K-Lok valves. These are no longer available in the UK, and the substitute product is a Hindle Hi-Seal, or alternatively a Tomoe 300 Series valve. Also on the plants are Hindle Ultraseal Class 300 Ball Valves.
We can supply:
We would welcome the opportunity of quoting for replacement,
or substitute, valves for any application on your water treatment plant.
