Butterfly Valves for Cooling Water Systems
We have much pleasure in sending you basic information covering our range
of “tadpole” butterfly valves.
These are available for pipe sizes up to 1,800mm.
In the past, Boving, supplied butterfly valves to the UK power industry for this application. A lot of the valves are not to recognised standards, in terms of their face to face dimensions.
We
are confident that we can produce a suitable valve to replace these units,
i.e. without modifying pipework.
On sea water applications a lot of corrosion problems have been experienced. We find the best material is 6MO. If required, the entire valve can be made of this material. Sometimes 316 stainless steel is employed, with 6MO for seal clamps etc.
For the smaller sizes of valves we are able to offer wafer pattern butterfly valves, or diaphragm valves. We can give you specifications, which have proven to be reliable in the UK power industry.
